Vintage razors are all the rage in wet shaving communities. A couple of reasons come into play as to why.

First, it’s because they were made from  premium materials.  Brass and bronze were incorporated throughout.  And the chrome/nickel plating was done is such a way that they’ve held up for decades.

Even though they are 50, 60, or 70 years old (or older), many of thee vintage razors are still in great shape!

Plus, these vintage Gillette razors were mostly manufactured in America.  So, it’s rahter nostalgic taking a step into yesteryear and use a safety razor similar to one used by your father or grandfather.

I was quite lucky to find a classic Gillette razor (at a very reasonable price) on Ebay! It’s in wonderful shape! I look forward to using it after giving it a bit of a cleaning.  And to fully sanitize a vintage razor (or other used safety razor), Barbacide is a must!
