For most cartoonists, working on a comic strip or comic book is a solitary endeavor. It’s just you and a blank piece of paper, alone in your studio. That’s why I like to fill the air with sound.

Radio has always been a big part of my studio environment.  It fills the room with music, talk shows, news, etc.  Technology has advanced to the point where I can choose from thousands of radio programs from around the world and millions of songs from thousands of online libraries!

And one of the BEST devices to bring all this information and entertainment into my creative space is the Amazon Echo.  I love this device so much, I recently purchased it’s newer, smaller counterpart, The Amazon Echo Dot.

At only $49.99, the Echo Dot is a bargain!  It’s easy to set up, and even easier to use.  Once you plug in the Echo Dot and give it a test drive, you’ll wonder how you ever got along without it.

And yes, my Echo Dot is playing in the background right now as I type this blog post.:)
