If you’re flying away for the weekend and want to take along a safety razor, the TSA has some regulations that require your attention.

The bottom line, you can pack a safety razor in your carry-on bag, you just cannot take the blades.
I’ve checked TSA’s own pages and they state, “…safety razors are not permitted in your carry-on luggage with the blade. The blades must be stored in your checked luggage.”

However, as the TSA writes on their web site, “The final decision rests with the TSA officer on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoint.”
