Over a short period this number can increase     to 30-40 programs, which is enough to slow even the newest of     computers&#8221; <\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">So goes the pitch of a recent email ad that I received in my in-box.\u00a0 These folks are trying to sell a product which<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> &#8220;makes your computer start    up much faster by analyzing your <span id=\"lw_1258652807_2\" style=\"background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent; cursor: pointer; font-family: inherit;\">Windows startup sequence<\/span> and giving it a de-clutter.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">It  goes on to talk about how revolutionary it is and all the wonderful  things it will do for a Windows computer.\u00a0 And the asking price is only  $19.99.\u00a0 And, I have to be honest here.\u00a0 When I used Windows, I gobbled  up software from this company.\u00a0 They make some outstanding Windows  software. \u00a0 I&#8217;m not knocking them.\u00a0 Their software works as advertised and theyare a highly reputable company. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">However, I am knocking the fact that you need  to have such a program on your Windows system.\u00a0 And another program,  and another, and another&#8230;to correct all the problems Windows develops over time!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Look, if you really want to make sure your computer boots fast and all your programs launch fast, simply get <a title=\"PCLinuxOS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pclinuxos.com\" target=\"_blank\">Linux.<\/a> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">For 25 cents, Linux will start fast!\u00a0 Linux will\u00a0 run fast, stable, and secure.\u00a0 Linux will do all this and more.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Now, how did I come up with the 25 cent price point?\u00a0 Simply buy a spool of CD-Rs, like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0000E1717?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=oneclilin-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B0000E1717\">Maxell 648200 700 MB 80 min CD-R (100 Pack)<\/a>, <a title=\"PCLinuxOS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pclinuxos.com\" target=\"_blank\">download Linux<\/a>, and burn the ISO to a single disc.\u00a0 One disc from this spool costs 20-25 cents.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> 25  cents for Linux\u00a0 beats 20 dollars for the Windows software!
