More and more, Google Chrome<\/a> is becoming my default browser.<\/p>\n

The above video is just one reason. \u00a0However,the really big thing I noticed whenI first used Chrome was how fast it launched and loaded. \u00a0Wow! it’s nearly instantaneous! \u00a0I click, and it’s\u00a0immediately\u00a0running on screen.<\/p>\n

As their web site<\/a> points out Google Chrome features:<\/p>\n

Fast loading<\/strong>
\nGoogle Chrome loads web pages quickly.<\/p>\n

Plus, you can install thousands of free applications and extensions. \u00a0they all launch in a snap and you can sync them across computers. I run note taking apps, Google Docs, photo editing software. since starting this blog post, I’ve also\u00a0installed\u00a0digital clocks, weather apps, and a calculator with\u00a0converter. \u00a0At left, you can see a screen shot of some of the apps I run in Google Chromium<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Did I say “Chromium” and not “Chrome?” \u00a0Well, there is a\u00a0difference…and not quite a\u00a0difference.<\/p>\n

In short, Chromium is the open source counterpart of Chrome.<\/a><\/p>\n

Both us the same code base and features and apps are identical. \u00a0If you’re running Linux, you’ll have\u00a0Chromium\u00a0available in your distro’s repository \u00a0if you’re running Windows, Mac, and \u00a0select Linux distros, you can download and install Chrome.<\/p>\n

But with Chromium, anyone can\u00a0contribute\u00a0to its features, apps, etc.<\/p>\n

It’s fast, free, and feature rich! \u00a0Give Google Chrome<\/a> a try.<\/p>\n
