My Kindle housed in its new Mareware cover.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I recently bought a cover my Kindle. I didn’t think I wanted a cover, but after using it for almost a year, I decided to give one a try.<\/p>\n

Before I made my purchase, I did a little\u00a0research\u00a0on\u00a0available\u00a0covers.<\/p>\n

The Kindle Keyboard has a couple of openings on the left hand side that allow you to plug it into a specially made cover. The\u00a0prongs on the cover are metal and draw power from Kindle’s battery allowing it to power a compact\u00a0on-board\u00a0light. \u00a0Or, you can buy one of these covers without an on-board light.<\/p>\n

I was about to buy one of these plug-in covers without the light, when I noticed a few reviews saying the metal prongs, somehow, shorted out their Kindle.<\/a> This\u00a0didn’t happen to all Kindle users, but it did happen to some.<\/p>\n

So, I decided not to take a chance with the metal prong cover.<\/p>\n

Instead, I found a cover where the Kindle slips into place. \u00a0No\u00a0metal\u00a0prongs, no drain on the battery, and no potential to short out.<\/p>\n

It’s the\u00a0Marware Eco-Vue Kindle Leather Folio\u00a0cover for the Kindle Keyboard. \u00a0It lists for $34.99. \u00a0On amazon.com, it sells for $20.99. \u00a0I still felt that was a bit steep.<\/p>\n

Well, I found the cover at a website called Pulsetv.com. \u00a0They had it on sale for only $12.99! \u00a0(Or you can buy two for only $19.98 plus shipping!)<\/p>\n

This cover \u00a0is terrific! \u00a0Exactly what I was looking for! \u00a0You can open and read your Kindle just like a book, or fold it back and use the strap to hold the Kindle with one hand. \u00a0The leather (and inside microfiber) is soft and comfortable, holds the Kindle firmly in place, and sort of “disappears” into the background, so to speak, while you read.<\/p>\n

If you’e like me, you’re reading from your Kindle all the time. \u00a0Holding\u00a0a “naked” Kindle does get a bit\u00a0uncomfortable after\u00a0a long period of time. \u00a0Sometimes, we’d like to have a bit more to hold on to. \u00a0This cover solves that need. \u00a0It’s a wonderful addition. \u00a0It gives your Kindle the feel of a book, adds very little weight, \u00a0and and keeps it protected.<\/p>\n
