I love having a traditional wet shave with a safety razor each and every morning. I still hold to my opinion that a safety razor gives you the BEST shave.

However, air travel in today’s age has changed. Carry-on bags, safety razors, and safety razor blades don’t always mix well. You can pack a safety razor in your carry-on bag, but you are not permitted to pack the double edge razor blades.

I’ve talked about solutions for this. You can mail the blades to your destination or, when you arrive at your destination, pop into a Dollar General store and pick up a pack of five DE blades for only a dollar.

After posting that previous video, further internet groundwork turned up this fact: “The final decision rests with the TSA officer on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoint.”

https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring

This means the TSA agent can, and possibly will, confiscate any item they feel could pose a threat on an airline flight.

I’ve read some posts where folks either had their razors nearly confiscated or were delayed. (I’ve even read a post or two where it was stated the razor was confiscated. In going back, I’ve been unable to locate those original posts or I originally misunderstood the post the first time around). Suffice to say, confiscation of your safety razor is still a possibility. Confiscation of DE razor blades in carry-on luggage is an absolute. Razor blades will be confiscated from carry-on luggage.

A safety razor sometimes gets flagged. Perhaps TSA, when they spot it, decide to further inspect carry-on luggage to make sure no blades have been packed. One can only guess.

So the best solution for carry-on luggage is to simply take a cartridge razor. (Cartridge razors are allowed because the blades are fixed in place. Whereas, a safety razor’s blade can be removed).

I’m beginning to agree with many other wet shavers (who do quite a bit of air travel). If you’re going to fly, leave the DE safety razor at home and take a cartridge razor instead.

This is why I’m reviewing the Dorco Pace 7 Cartridge Razor.

If traveling by air, the Dorco Pace 7 is a good choice. It may not be the same kind of shave as a DE safety razor, but it’s darn close and has the same great blades as all Dorco products.

Given the restrictions of carry-on luggage in air travel, you’ll still be able to pack the Dorco 7 with no problems.

When you arrive at your destination, the Dorco Pace 7 will give you a very good, close, smooth, nick-free shave.

And you won’t have to deal with any potential TSA delays or inconveniences involving a DE safety razor.

===============

Dorco: http://www.dorcousa.com/for-men/

Dorco Pace 7: http://www.dorcousa.com/for-men/

===============

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 300px; height: 250px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-5949253053296061" data-ad-slot="5549356691"></ins>

PLEASE READ. =============== Dorco: http://www.dorcousa.com/for-men/ Dorco Pace 7: http://www.dorcousa.com/for-men/ =============== I’ll say it up front so everyone knows.
