The classic Samurai is a three-piece safety razor that gives a mild yet highly efficient shave. The blade balance and alignment are quite good. At under $20.00, it makes a great gift or a terrific razor for your daily drive or travel.
The razor used in this video is the CS-203. There are other models available with a variety of handle styles. But, much like Edwin Jagger, all appear to have the same razor head.
The traditional wet shave using cold water!:) Surprising?
My thanks to Mantic59 and Sharpologist.com for the inspiration for this video.:)
Again, the colder the water, the better (within reason, or course). The very slight tugging sensation you feel during a cold water shave is not the same sort of tugging you get from a dull blade. This is most definitely a good tugging. It indicates a close, smooth shave with less irritation than the hot shave counterpart. You quickly become accustomed to it.
It’s certainly worth a try! As with anything involving the Traditional Wet Shave, YMMV.:)
