Unicycle

Hey! Click on the image to see it a bit larger!

Here’s another Inktober toon  It’s just a guy on a unicycle.

But, upon further reflection, I’ve discovered that I seem to draw unicycles quite a bit in my cartoon features.  Maybe it’s because it’s a rather simple device to cartoon.  Or perhaps it’s a lot more fun looking  than a more complex bicycle or motorcycle.

Whatever the reason, I enjoyed creating it and making it a part of Inktober!

More Inktober fun.

For some reason, I have an affinity for cartooning sea serpents, dragons, the high seas, and boats. I guess they allow for some fun line work.

My nephew Tom posted to Instagram regarding how the month of October is now designated as Inktober.

It’s an initiative created by artist Jake Parker.  The idea is to do some inking during the month of October in order to strengthen inking skills.

Okay, I’m in!  I’ll be posting my inked cartoons each day.  (Well, at least I hope to).  I’ll be inking with a Pentel fountain pen and it’s refillable counterpart known as a Tradio.  My posts will be quick inked drawing s of my characters from “George” and whatever else comes to mind.

And, here and there, I’ll be updating with “George” comic strips.

Above is my initial drawing to kick things off!

Happy Inktober!
