This comic strip came to me when I happened to read about the early days of color T.V.  When I write a comic, I sometimes search around for little word plays.  I saw the color T.V. article and I liked this particular word play using the word “color.”  It fit.  And there is a bit of truth to it.  I guess that’s why it’s so funny.
