When I drew this strip, I had just purchased a reel lawn mower.  I used it to do smaller areas of the yard when I didn’t’ want to drag out the gas powered mower.  The reel lawn mower reminded me of when I was a teenager and used the exact same kinds of mower to cut my grandparents’ grass.  I’m guessing that many readers have,at one time or another, used the exact same kind of mower.  Because, at one time, these mowers seemed to be everywhere!
