Here’s a nice side by side by side comparison of the three top E-Readers.

I own a Kindle Keyboard and really enjoy reading with it. (I don’t think I’ll ever go back to reading traditional books again.) However, the Sony has a lot of nice features. Sadly, you cannot move your Kindle books to the Sony. The Kindle uses a proprietary file format that is not readable on the Sony. If I were to buy the Sony E-Reader, I’d have to re-purchase all my Kindle books in a format compatible with the Sony E-Reader.

I love my Kindle. I especially love the way it integrates with amazon.com and my local library. All borrowing and buying takes place in the cloud. So, there’s no need to load additional software onto your computer. And your books are always available to you via the cloud and your amazon account.

But, there are other approaches to E-Readers. Sony has a pretty neat approach. The Sony Reader PRS-T1 is loaded with features and runs Android (Linux again, folks!).

If you’re looking for an E-Reader, and, as much as I highly recommend any of the E-Ink Kindles, you may want to give the Sony a look.

Have you heard about the DNSChanger malware? No? well, you may want to check out the above video and in addition visit here.

Another helpful article is located here.

In a nutshell, you need to check your system to make sure you don’t have this nasty bit of malware because the safety net is going way on July 9th.

“Says the FBI:

“To assist victims affected by the DNSChanger malicious software, the FBI obtained a court order authorizing the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) to deploy and maintain temporary clean DNS servers. This solution is temporary, providing additional time for victims to clean affected computers and restore their normal DNS settings. The clean DNS servers will be turned off on July 9, 2012, and computers still impacted by DNSChanger may lose Internet connectivity at that time.”

So, make sure your antivirus is up to date and follow the instructions on the above links to check your system to make sure it’s clean.

Want to avoid these kinds of headaches in the future? Simply get Linux. Linux is immune to Windows’ viruses, malware, and Trojans.

A few blog posts ago, I wrote about the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and recommended a book written by one of the survivors.

Well, since then, I finished a book of historical fiction which takes place during the time of the Titanic. And the Titanic figures in as one of the elements of the story.

It’s called The Titanic Plan. All the reviews I’ve read are spot on!  This book is a real page turner!  It grabs you from the first few pages and doesn’t let go.  When you sit down to read, the next thing you know, you’re halfway through it’s 65 chapters! This book is such an entertaining read, I wish it was 20 chapter longer! It’s highly entertaining, wonderfully written, and mixes in history so well with the overall story, it’s hard to tell where fact ends and fiction begins.

J.P. Morgan, Presidents William Howard Taft and Theodore Roosevelt, John Astor, William Vanderbilt and other historical figures from America’s past are featured thoughtout the book.   They come to life as does early 20th century America.  It’s rather remarkable how much America of 1912 resembles America of 2012 (politically, economically, etc.).

If you have a Kindle, I highly recommend The Titanic Plan. If you don’t have a Kindle, it’s worth getting one to read this book. The terrific thing is, The Titanic Plan is only $3.99. But hurry, the publisher may be moving the price upward as readers discover this book. (I bought it for only .99 a couple of weeks ago.)

And yes, it reads like a movie! And The Titanic Plan will make a fantastic movie! I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if movie rights are being negotiated at this moment.

As I’ve often pointed out on this blog, I love radio!  I have a couple of Internet radios.  One is in my studio and the other is on my nightstand.  I can listen to Internet radio for hours.  It’s simply amazing having the ability, via the Internet, to tune in thousands of stations from around the world.

Even with that vast selection, the one I keep coming back to listen to is Martini in the morning.

Martini in the morning is, quite simply, one of the best radio stations the web has to offer.

MITM plays great music from a great period in American history.  It’s the lounge sound!  Cool standards from great singers like Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Steve Tyrell, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and many other talented artists.

In order to enter to win, all you have to do is click on our Check-In or Request link and you will be in the running.”

On Thursdays, MITM does “That Thursday Thing.”  They give away great music CDs!

Hey!  today is Thursday!  Simply get over to http://www.martiniinthemorning.com/page.php?110 for the details and get a chance to  win some great music!.

And while you’re at it, tune them in on your tablet, laptop, desktop computer or your own Internet radio.  I have MITM on right now as I type this in my studio.

Martini in the Morning.  One word.  Cool.
